What is happening to Ethereum (aka, Argent Vault) and zkSync Lite accounts?
Ethereum and zkSync Lite accounts are being moved into a dedicated app called Ethereum Argent Vault.
Your assets are safe. But we strongly recommend moving them to your Ready account on Starknet. You’ll get new features like the Ready Metal card, and a better experience.
Why are Ethereum and zkSync Lite accounts getting a separate app?
We’re moving Ethereum and zkSync Lite accounts into a standalone app so we can focus on building the best experience with Ready.
We’re no longer actively supporting Ethereum or zkSync Lite. We’ll only fix bugs that could put user funds at risk. There will be no new features, and no active development.
We strongly recommend that you move your assets to your Ready account on Starknet. If you do not want to move your assets to Ready, move them to a different wallet. Only use the new Ethereum Argent Vault app as a last resort.
How do I migrate my Ethereum or zkSync Lite account from Ready to the new app?
If you choose to migrate to the new Ethereum Argent Vault app, follow these steps:
- Install the Ethereum Argent Vault app from the App Store or Google Play Store
- Install the latest version of Ready from the App Store or Google Play Store
- Open the Ethereum Argent Vault app and tap Get Started
- Tap Move Account in the Ethereum Argent Vault app
- Complete FaceID (or biometrics) in Ready and tap Approve
- Your keys will now migrate
- Tap Ok once your account has been successfully moved
- You can now use the Ethereum Argent Vault app with your Ethereum account

Are the Ethereum smart contracts safe?
Yes, your funds are safe. The Ethereum smart contracts remain unchanged. They are open source, audited multiple times, and have never been breached. However, we recommend moving your assets to Ready or transferring to a different wallet which is actively supported.
What’s the difference between Ethereum, zkSync Lite and Ready?
Ethereum is our original smart contract wallet, focused on high security. You can no longer create new Ethereum accounts, and we’ve stopped developing new features. We strongly recommend moving your assets to Ready on Starknet.
zkSync Lite was the first version of what is now the zkSync Era Layer 2. Since the launch of zkSync Era in 2023, development of zkSync Lite has stopped by Matter Labs. There will be no new accounts, features or improvements. We strongly recommend moving your assets to Ready on Starknet.
Ready is the original vision of Argent. An onchain alternative to your bank. Where you can buy, store, invest, earn and spend crypto using the Ready Card.
As a thanks for your long term support, Ethereum accounts can claim 30% off the Ready Metal card when they transfer from their Ethereum account to their Ready account on Starknet. Email help@ready.co if the discount is not applied automatically.
Do I have one smart contract wallet for both Ethereum (Argent Vault) and Starknet (Ready)?
No. They have different smart contracts.
Can I still use my Ethereum account?
Yes. You can use it on the Ethereum Argent Vault app. We would not shut it down without a long transition period. But again, we recommend moving your assets to Ready as soon as possible.
Do you recommend that I move my assets to another Ethereum wallet?
We strongly advise moving your assets to your Ready account on Starknet. If that’s not something you want to do, use another supported Ethereum wallet. Only use the new Ethereum Argent Vault app if you have no other alternative.
