Do I have to complete KYC?
What is an RFI?
An RFI (Request for Information) is when the card provider or compliance team asks you for more details to verify your identity, a transaction or account activity.
Why am I receiving an RFI?
To confirm your identity or account details - it might be caused by mismatch of specified location and IP address, usage of VPN or other reasons where KYC provider is unable to verify your identity.
To verify unusual or high-value transactions
Because of compliance checks required by regulations
What is Geolocation verification?
Geolocation verification is when KYC provider checks your location against your registered address. It helps confirm that your card is being used by you and not someone else in a different location.
What documents can I use as Proof of Address (PoA)?
Utility bill (gas, electricity, water, internet, landline phone)
Bank or credit card statement
Government-issued letter (tax notice, social security, benefits)
Rental agreement or mortgage statement
Insurance policy document
What documents cannot be used as Proof of Address (PoA)?
Mobile phone bills
Handwritten letters or notes
Receipts, delivery or purchase invoices
Personal letters or unofficial correspondence
Documents without your full name and address unobscured
Expired documents
What is a compliance request for information?
Sometimes KYC provider may ask for documents due to adverse verification. This means public or media sources suggest unusual activity related to a user, and regulations require us to confirm the account is safe.
What is a PEP?
PEP stands for Politically Exposed Person. This means someone who holds, or has held, a high public role (for example, a government official or judge). Extra checks are required for PEPs to prevent misuse of financial services.
What information might I need to provide?
Proof of identity (passport, ID card, driver’s license)
Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement)
Receipts, invoices, or details of specific transactions
Explanation of activity (reason for payment, relationship to recipient)
How do I submit the requested information?
Follow the secure link we provide by email.
Upload the documents in the requested format.
Ensure information matches your account details.
For Proof of address, please ensure you are providing proof of address that matches your entered KYC address.
Do not send the details in response to the RFI email - it will take longer for the KYC verification to complete.
What happens after I submit documents?
The KYC provider checks the documents for compliance
We notify you once the review is complete
What if I do not provide the information?
If you do not respond, the KYC verification would not be completed, and you wouldn't be able to order a card. In case of individual transaction, it may be blocked and your card may be limited until verification is complete.
Is my information safe?
Yes. All documents are stored securely and shared only with the card vendor for regulatory purposes.
Does Ready process KYC?
No. Ready does not process KYC verification and we do not store your KYC details. KYC is carried out by our trusted partner Persona, and we have no access to the data you share with them.
