The Ready mobile app does not use a seed phrase.
Instead, it uses email 2FA, passkeys and a secure recovery process, providing a seedless experience while keeping your wallet self-custodial.
Ready X browser extension and mobile app
The Ready X browser extension uses a traditional seed phrase to secure your wallet.
This is why you may see references to seed phrases in some Ready documentation. Those articles apply to the browser extension, not the Ready mobile app.
Which one applies to me?
- If you're using the Ready mobile app, you do not have a seed phrase.
- If you're using the Ready X browser extension, your wallet is secured with a seed phrase.
The two products use different recovery methods by design.
