Why we ask for your phone number and email address for the default 2FA
The default Ready 2FA is a 2-factor authentication service operated by Ready.
It works like your guardian to protect your funds. You can read more about guardians on our blog.
With 2FA:
- We send you a text message and an email whenever an action needs guardian approval, such as recovery
- You confirm ownership by verifying access to your phone number and email address
- After verification, the Ready guardian 'signs' its approval
What we store
We store an encrypted version of your phone number (optional) and email address on our servers.
