Why does Ready ask for my email address?
Your email address is an important part of keeping your Ready account secure.
We use it to:
- Send security notifications, such as when wallet recovery is initiated.
- Verify your identity when performing sensitive account actions.
- Notify you about important security-related activity affecting your account.
Latest versions of Ready use passkeys to authorize sensitive actions, providing a more secure and privacy-friendly experience than traditional authentication methods.
What do you store?
We store an encrypted version of your email address on our servers.
If you choose to add a phone number to your account, we also store an encrypted version of your phone number.
We do not use your email address for identity verification (KYC). If you complete KYC for services such as Cash Transfers or the Ready Card, your verification data is processed and stored by our regulated verification provider, not by Ready.
Can I change my email address?
Yes.
You can view and update the email address associated with your Ready account in Settings > Account & Security.
Please make sure you always use an email address that you can access, as it's required for important security notifications and wallet recovery.
