What is a passkey
A passkey is a secure way to sign in and recover your account without using passwords or verification codes.
Passkeys use the security features built into your device, such as Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN. Your passkey is stored securely on your device and never shared with Ready.
Why passkeys improve security
Passkeys are more secure than passwords or text message verification because they:
Protect against phishing and SIM swap attacks
Can only be used on devices you approve
Require biometric verification or your device PIN
Allow instant account recovery on a new device if your passkey syncs through your Apple, Google, or password manager account
What we store
Ready does not store your passkey, biometric data, fingerprint, Face ID data, or device PIN.
We only store the public cryptographic key linked to your passkey. This public key cannot be used to access your account or recreate your passkey.
Your private key always stays on your device or within your encrypted password manager ecosystem.
