We want to make sure you never lose access to your cryptocurrency. That is why we made it as simple as possible to recover your wallet on a new phone if your old one is lost or stolen.
How does it work?
There are two ways to recover your Ready account:
- Off-chain recovery with the encrypted recovery key
- Recovery onchain (with 2FA)

If you are moving to a new device and still have access to your wallet—or if you saved the encrypted recovery key before—you can use offchain recovery.
This is a recovery method that does not require any network fees, since it happens offchain.

Ready 2FA works as your account guardian providing a cosigner ability to help you trigger recovery of your account onchain.
This option works even if you no longer have your old phone.
